March 2007 : First Clare Comhairle na nÓg Newsletter launched The first ever Clare Comhairle na nÓg Newsletter was published in February 2007. This edition is about the 2006 Clare Comhairle na nÓg which was attended by 100 young people aged between 7-18 years from all over County Clare on the 14th November 2006. Comhairle na nÓg is a Young People’s Forum/Council in Clare. It is held each November and the delegates elect 5 young people to represent Clare at the National Council/Forum Dáil na nÓg. The main objective of Comhairle na nÓg is to consult with young people on issues of local and national importance and develop permanent structures in County Clare to ensure that young people are given a voice in issues that affect them.
